Sterling Hospedales is proud to announce the launch of Purpose Over Popularity–WA, a 527 Advocacy Group dedicated to fighting for the rights and dignity of justice-impacted individuals across Washington. Our mission is to amplify the voices of those affected by the criminal justice system, advancing meaningful reforms that promote fair treatment and real opportunities for successful reentry. Beyond grassroots advocacy, we take direct action to influence change:

• Register to vote and make your voice count in shaping justice policy

• Donate $5–$10 to our organization to support reform efforts

• We strategically direct those funds to support candidates running for office—including sheriff, mayor, governor, Congress, and Senate—who are committed to prison, parole, and probation reform in Washington State

Together, we are building a movement that not only raises awareness, but actively invests in leadership that will transform the system. In Washington, justice-impacted individuals will no longer be treated as political footballs—reduced to slogans like “tough on crime” or “lock them up.” As taxpayers and members of our communities, we deserve meaningful representation and policies grounded in reality, not rhetoric. We are no longer begging for change—we are driving it by ensuring candidates take a more holistic approach to legislation, recognizing the real issues such as mental health, rehabilitation, and successful reentry.
